Is it safe?

When it comes to insertable toys, safety and hygiene are paramount. Platinum silicone is the ideal material for these products, offering unmatched body-safe properties.

Platinum silicone is highly regarded for its biocompatibility and non-toxic nature. Free from harmful chemicals like phthalates and hypoallergenic, it ensures that users experience no adverse reactions, making it perfect for sensitive and prolonged contact with the body.

One of the standout features of platinum silicone is its non-porous surface. Unlike other materials, it does not harbor bacteria or other pathogens, significantly reducing the risk of infections. This non-porous nature also ensures that the material remains intact and safe, even with frequent use.

Maintaining hygiene with platinum silicone is incredibly straightforward. It can be easily cleaned using mild soap and water, and for thorough sterilization, it can be boiled or placed in a dishwasher (top rack only). This ease of cleaning ensures that the toys remain safe for use time after time, providing peace of mind to users.

Platinum silicone’s resistance to chemicals and body fluids ensures that it remains stable and does not degrade over time. This stability is crucial for maintaining the safety and integrity of the toys throughout their lifespan.

How do you clean platinum silicone toys?

Cleaning Platinum Cure Silicone Between Insertions:

1. Rinse with Warm Water:

• Start by rinsing the toy with warm water to remove any surface debris or body fluids.

2. Use Mild, Unscented Soap:

• Apply a small amount of mild, unscented, and preferably antibacterial soap. Avoid soaps with harsh chemicals, fragrances, or dyes that could irritate the skin or damage the silicone.

3. Gently Scrub:

• Using your hands or a soft, non-abrasive cloth, gently scrub the toy to clean all surfaces. Pay special attention to any textured areas or crevices.

4. Rinse Thoroughly:

• Rinse the toy thoroughly with warm water to ensure all soap residues are removed. Residual soap can cause irritation during the next use.

5. Dry Completely:

• Pat the toy dry with a clean, lint-free towel. Alternatively, you can let it air dry on a clean surface. Make sure it is completely dry before storing or reusing to prevent any bacterial growth.

Deep Cleaning (Periodically or for Thorough Sterilization):

1. Boiling:

• Boil the toy in water for 3-5 minutes. Ensure the toy is fully submerged and not touching the sides of the pot to avoid any melting or deformation. Use tongs to remove the toy from the water and place it on a clean towel to air dry.

2. Dishwasher:

• You can place it on the top rack of the dishwasher and run a cycle without detergent. Ensure the dishwasher is set to a high-temperature wash to effectively sterilize the toy.

What lube should I use?

Use powdered water-based lubes that you mix yourself with clean water. They are readily available online. Use lots of it. Use clean water and a clean sports bottle and mix it as described. You can play with the recipe to thicken the mix to your personal preference. It's very economical.

You can also use grease-based. The big advantage is that it doesn't dry out as much. Your colon only absorbs water so grease will not be digested as such. Crisco is very cheap and available everywhere. Just be ready to answer the cashier when they ask what kind of pie you’re making tonight!

Do NOT use silicone lube on silicone toys. While it wont per say damage your toy, it'll leave a thin filament and washing it off will be very hard.

Why are platinum silicone toys expensive?

Because there is actual platinum in them. Needless to say, platinum is not cheap and this will always be reflected in the price. The silicone is cured with platinum to make your toy completely non-porous and safe. It won’t decay like vinyl or PVC rubber. You hole deserves only the best. If you haven't already, it's time to upgrade to the safest option.
